Ray Morant

Welcome to the music page of Ramon Morant. Ray was born in Hartford Connecticut to Spanish Immigrants with a musical heritage tracing back at least 3 generations. At age 3, Ramons' Mother (a concert pianist trained in madrid, paris and Juliard) had him playing violin where he started developing a keen sense of melody. Through primary education he studied piano and trumpet where his exposure to multiple musical genre's continued to build his musical pallet. As a teenager he was introduced to rock ,soul, jazz and blues music styles which fostered his journey into the guitar and led him to complete his studios at the Hartfrod Conservatory. Ramon is a uniquely proficient guitarist, vocalist and composer.

Through his carreer he has played over 3000 gigs, has played on or produced more than 700 recording sessions. The love of music and the reaction it elicits from audiences is what keeps the Artist from turning to conventional employment; as well as the incessant calls for gigs. He has become a versitile performer, experienced at playing many types of productions from solo acoustic shows to large 10 piece ensembles.
